How do you act on the first day of school?

i am going into high school and i am really nervous. I am the shy quiet type but around my friends and crush i am happy, funny, outgoing, and VERY nice. I want to be like this with everyone. How should i approach a possible friend? and what conversations should i start with? This is my last year living here in NY but i want to make it a great last year. Oh and BTW i am planning to join 2 or 3 clubs. Thanks for your help! How do you act on the first day of school?
I act the best possible way I can. I just want others to think that I am happy and apporachable. I'm just like you, shy, quiet, and only feeling comfortable around friends. Try talking to others about what clubs you're joining and remember to be yourself. No one likes a fake person ;)How do you act on the first day of school?
A wise man once said be yourself

you need to pop an x pill and that should solve your problems
do not pop anything like the person below me said ust be yourself because if your not...people will like something fake
don't listen to that guy @ the top.

ok act causal and cool

make sure you make friends with the cool kids

and some mid-popular people never geeks..and this is from my first day of school i was friends with some not so popular people..it took 3 years to make my way up to mid-popular.

but be yourself.
dont be nervous! high school is a lot more fun than middle school! and you will become friends with new people who are in your classes and that will slowly branch out into other people. you just have to go in confident! dont worry about anything people in high school are not as mean as people say! and yes you should get yourself involved with the school that will also help you to get to know more people.
Ok, don't freeze up or anything, and don't be afraid to speak your mind. First day of school is kinda like ';Hi, oh I love your outfit, don't you think he's cute, my summer was awesome'; and so on. You just have to get comfortable, and don't limit your personality to one crowd, makes friends with everyone. Don't stop talking constantly, tell stories/jokes, complement things, make statements, be flirty, and so on. But don't plan out everything, you can practice what you could say, but try not to make things planned, because when you have a plan, then things might not go as planned.
play it smooth keep it cool

and most importly be y

ur self and have some fun
i remember my first time goin into high school...as a homeschooled gal, about to be a junior, i would totally recommend being yourself...from past experiences, i learned that trying to be something that you arent WILL NOT WORK!!! if you approach a possible friend, and they reject you, do not take it personally...keep trying until your friendship list explodes!!! also i'm the quiet shy person around ALL ppl, whether they are friends or not...to solve that prob, i recommend pulling together a few stuffed animals in your room, pretending they are a big group of friends and just pick a subject you would talk about in reality...it worked for me!!! and as far as your freshman year goes, good luck =)
just don't worry about it I was the same way and u just got to take a chance with it ya i know it is hard at firs but after u make one or two friends u will see it is not really that bad :)
JUST BE YOURSELF AND DO GOOD TO OTHERS AND GOOD WILL FOLLOW U. NO NEED TO WORRY, REMEMBER

THAT ONLY U CAN MAKE U TRULY HAPPY.
Just try to be confident. Don't be really shy and stand behind everyone else. Try invite yourself into people's conversations and be really really nice to people. Nobody likes a shy person who doesn't talk lol, so try to be really talktative, but don't be too loud otherwise you might come across as being annoying or a busy body. Just be nice, and friendly :) and try to join in with as much as you can.
You shouldn't act at all! Be yourself and let things flow. The greatest part about being in school is that you meet new and different people. So if they were acting then meeting them would be pointless. Just enjoy school for what it is.
