How to deal with falling in love with your best friend?

I don't know where to start. There's this girl, we have this absolutely amazing friendship, so amazing I don't even really think of it as a friendship...more like a partnership or something to that effect. I have had deep feelings of ';love'; since the beginning, I have been there for her through everything (and viceversa)...boyfriends, family troubles, you name it. We are completely open, honest and unconditional, the emotional connection we share is unlike anything I've ever heard of except in movies. And now as I look at my future I realize how much I need her... She is seriously someone I could spend the rest of my life with. I want to be there through every step of her life. I want to be her shoulder to cry on, her shoulder to laugh on. Its just absolutely magical, unconditional, and indescribable the feelings I have for this woman. We commonly will end a conversation with ';I love you.'; We have so many laughs and are always happy when we're together.

Recently I mustered the courage to talk about it with her. But I just simply asked if she has ever looked at me in ';that'; way.

She went on to tell me that she has but doesn't want to ruin this special thing we have. I have not told her the extent of my feelings, just that I was ';falling for her';.

I used to be able to hold these feelings back, but I find myself thinking about it all the time now. It honestly consumes most of my life, we have this amazing friendship, but imagine if it were a relationship. I know we could go the distance.

This isn't just a ';teenage'; crush. I treat her with respect, love, care. I want to be her everything, as she is already mine.

Any thoughts/words of wisdom will be much appreciated. How to deal with falling in love with your best friend?
Your Answer:

Well...you may want to give it some time before you do anything. Because you can drive her away with the attention. So slow down a bit. As for your feelings, # 1 I must say, I'm happy for you %26amp; I hope all goes well. #2, here's the thing, you really have to think about this, because you may ruin a precious friendship, But then again, this could be the greatest decision of your life. But you also gotta think about her perspective on it. Does she show you how she feels? When she ends the conversation with ';I Love You'; think about for a bit does she mean it in the matter that you want it to? This could be just a friendship thing, because I have a friend like that, %26amp; we're not exactly ';Lovey Dovey'; if you know what I mean %26amp; hey if she doesn't want to get with you, you still have her as a friend %26amp; that's what matters. She seems like an understandable girl, so she'll probably tell you how she truly feels. But yeah bro, think about this first. I hope I helped in any way, later! How to deal with falling in love with your best friend?
Just remember, something good comes from every situation.

Thus , EVERYTHING happens for a reason-- just trust in the Lord.

I can relate. Best of luck sean.
